Dr. Suzanne Day

Dr. Suzanne Day joined Gulf Coast Vision Center in 2017, after 10 years of practicing in Gulf Breeze, FL. She is a native of Racine, WI, and is happy to live in warm, sunny Florida.

Dr. Day graduated with honors and distinction from California State University, with a bachelor's degree in Economics. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2000, from the Southern California College of Optometry. She was the recipient of the Betty Lou Hoeft Memorial Scholarship for two consecutive years. Her externships were at the VA Medical Center in Los Angeles and the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, where the emphasis of her training was in ocular disease.

Following graduation, Dr. Day practiced in Anaheim, CA, in a large, multi-specialty ophthalmology group. She was the single optometrist amongst cataract, corneal, retinal, glaucoma and oculoplastic surgeons. She was also the eye doctor for the Anaheim Angels professional baseball team and the Anaheim Ducks professional hockey team. She specialized in sports vision and contact lens fittings for professional athletes.

Dr. Day provides comprehensive eye care to include glasses and contact lens fittings. She diagnoses and treats most eye diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma and macular degeneration. She performs eye examinations to detect diabetic eye disease and is a part of a referral center for cataract, eyelid and LASIK surgery.
